About Dr. Kerns
Dr. Kerns is a Psychotherapist in Private Practice in Irvine, California. She is licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. (BBS).
Dr. Kerns education includes:2009 - Doctorate Degree in Psychology, with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, from CGI of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
In her Doctoral Dissertation, A Jungian Oriented Treatment Plan for Mid-life Women’s Liminal Phase Transition into Mid-life, Dr. Kerns developed a treatment plan that was intended to serve as a guideline for therapists, as they worked from a Jungian orientation.
2007 - Masters Degree in Psychology, with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, from California Graduate Institute.
Dr Kerns has been conducting affordable psychotherapy since 2006. Her focus in graduate school was on Life's Transition Periods.
Are you struggling with relationship issues, either with yourself or others? I have helped many couples and individuals learn how to turn conflict and confusion into clarity and compassion. Individual Sessions are focused on enhancing strengths to meet current challenges. Many of my clients benefit from processing their thoughts, and gaining support through validation.
Couples sessions are designed to generate an understanding of the viewpoint of the partner. With Couples, success is achieved by a consistent working through of issues, each time with the partners taking more responsibility with the tools that they have learned from previous sessions. I have helped many couples, and I can help you.
